16 PLANES / 7 COUNTRIES / 1000 GREAT EXPERIENCES
My mission for 2015 was to travel as much as I could. Looking back I can proudly say: Mission completed! I am eternally grateful for all the amazing, exotic places I visited, the incredible probably once-in-a-lifetime-experiences I was able to have and all the fantastic new friends I made on the way.

JANUARY
Even if a year has passed I can still remember how very excited I was facing this massive adventure in front of me. I was about to finish one of my Travel-Bucket-List-Goals - a very big one: Traveling alone. And not just to any place but to INDIA (check out my post about Solo-Traveling in India). On the 22th of January I throw myself into this new adventure, despite the fears of family and friends. My first stops were Mumbai, New Dehli and the breathtaking Taj Mahal in Agra.

FEBRUARY
My Indian adventure continued through Jodphur, Jaisalmer and Jaipur where I checked off another goal from my Travel-Bucket-List: Riding an elephant.

An absolute amazing experience! On the 11th of February my journey continued and my surrounding changed drastically. Suddenly I found myself in paradise: Seychelles.

It´s hard to find the right words to describe this enchanting beauty. After a week of sunshine (yes, I got really burned), white sandy beaches, crystal-clear water and the most delicious fish dishes I continued my journey to my final destination South Africa & Namibia. After one week of spending quality time with my family in Johannesburg I finally arrived in Namibia.
MARCH / APRIL
I spent the next two months in Namibia. Well what can I say: This country just has my heart:) It´s hard not to fall for it`s beauty. This was my third time there but there is always something new to discover. Particularly noteworthy was our trip to Oranjemund. A blooming, green place surrounded by the desert where it`s perfectly normal to pass by a family of oryx (gemsbok) on your way to the supermarket. AMAZING!!

MAY
My time in Africa ended with a visit to a place which was on my list for quite some time: Cape Town.

Where I did what every tourist has to do: Getting tipsy at a winery,

taking the cablecar up to the table mountain (even if it was cloudy and you couldn't see anything - who cares), jumping on board a boat at the waterfront and witnessing an absolutely amazing sunset at Bloomberg Strand.

What can I say: Another great place, another fabulous experience and a perfect end to a three month adventure.
JUNE / JULY / AUGUST
For the next three month I ordered myself strict travel-rehab. Engaged at work and enjoyed the German summer at home while my credit card and my bank account had a chance to recover;)
SEPTEMBER
Time to get back on the road again. This month started promising with a Girls Trip to Hamburg. I know it´s not as exciting as a far away destination but I sometimes also like to experience my own country. "Don´t forget where you come from." Or as William Hazlitt put it: "A wise traveler never despise his own country." With that advice in mind I traveled to the north. Hamburg was a place I truly wanted to see for a long time and I was surprised by it`s beauty.

Definitely a place to see. Just two weeks later my journey led me further into the south. Another new destination was waiting for me: Barcelona. A friend hosted a ball there (sounds fancy and believe me it was;))

So I made use of the opportunity and stayed a few days longer to experience this old mediterranean town. I was not at all disappointed. The architecture, the vibes, the food ... take me back there now! Please:)

OCTOBER
Due to work I stranded in Palma de Mallorca and used the afternoons and the weekend to discover this little island. I had been here before, as a teenager but that almost didn't count because I didn´t appreciate the beauty of it back then.

The end of October took me to a weekend-getaway to Brussels. My favourite thing to do here was simply strolling through the old alleys admiring the nostalgic architecture.

NOVEMBER
Another work trip, another German city I wanted to visit for a long time: Munich. Even if I didn´t have much time to explore I was thrilled by what I saw. It´s definitely a place I want to visit again.

DECEMBER
The last month of the year was just reserved for time with my family and friends. And I enjoyed every minute of it. Especially when one of my closest friends and I where housesitting together for four weeks. So much fun! And that´s how a memorable year ended. With the exciting foretaste of everything that would come soon.
